PadSplit is a platform designed to provide affordable housing. For one fixed weekly price, Members get a private furnished room, utilities, internet, and laundry access. They do not require minimum credit scores or long-term leases.

Members pay one bill weekly (or bi-weekly) that covers rent and all utilities. There is no large security deposit required. On average, Members save $420 a month, which helps them reach other financial goals like buying a car or paying off debt.

Members can save hundreds of dollars compared to traditional rentals. The single weekly payment includes rent, utilities, and perks like free credit reporting and telehealth services.

Applying to become a Member is handled through PadSplit’s website. They require an application fee, income verification, and identity screening. Once approved, a Member can browse and book any available room.

There is no minimum credit score required. While they may review credit history, it is not a deciding factor in the approval process.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and show proof of income. They must also agree to the Member Agreement to ensure a positive co-living environment.

Applicants with one eviction in the last 7 years may still be approved. However, those with more than one eviction will be rejected.

Yes. PadSplit verifies income through bank syncing (Plaid) or by reviewing documents like pay stubs or award letters. Applicants between jobs can still qualify but may need to pay more dues upfront.

PadSplit requires a 12-week minimum stay. After that, it transitions to a week-to-week commitment. Moving out before 12 weeks results in a penalty fee.

The weekly payment covers electricity, water, heat, waste management, and Wi-Fi. Many homes also include free on-site parking and access to 24/7 telemedicine.

There are three primary costs:

1. Application Fee: Covers background and income screening.

2. Move-In Fee: Covers room prep and cleaning

3. Membership Dues: Usually up to 2 weeks of dues paid upfront.

Rent is paid weekly or bi-weekly via the PadSplit Member Dashboard or App. They require a credit or debit card on file; prepaid cards are not accepted. Members can choose a payment day that aligns with their payday.
